We have an open application process for schools and NGO’s who would like to attend training in one of our programmes. The intention of our work with schools and other organisations is not that they become Wordworks’ branches or franchisees, but that they are supported in building early literacy programmes into their broader work (which may include addressing social, health, educational and/or economic needs and challenges). After training and once they begin running their own programmes, individuals, schools and organisations are offered the opportunity to join WordNetworks in order to maintain a sense of association, to receive ongoing guidance and input, to share experiences and learning, and to facilitate access to resources and opportunities. We work with partners in this network to support monitoring and evaluation, and to document and share learning to deepen the impact of interventions.
If you would like to apply to attend training to start one of our programmes, we would suggest you begin by reading about the programme on the programme pages on the website. Then please email us at email@example.com and let us know which programme training you are interested in attending. We will send you an application form and let you know when the next training will take place. Applications open a few months before training, and application forms can be downloaded in the period leading up to the training.
In 2017, our training dates are as follows:
February-March: Facilitator training for Home-School Partnerships (applications closed)
April: Ready Steady Read Write Co-ordinator training (applications closed)
August: Ready Steady Read Write Co-ordinator training. (applications closed)
2018 (dates TBC): Facilitator training for Home-School Partnerships (applications open in August)
November: Training for Stellar trainers (applications open in July)
Our training programmes are largely donor funded, and those who are accepted to attend training are required to commit to running the programme for at least one year – we hope much longer!
